This is one of my favourite restaurants and I've been many times. It has the best service of anywhere i've been and so cheap and such nice food.
Food Rating:Exceptional
Very good. You get massive helpings, and loads of free bits - you get flat bread filled with things while ordering, along with pickles. it's a good idea to get the mixed meze for starters as you get to try different things and there's way too much for two people - there was too much for three of us last time. Main meals are big and hearty, and tasty. They bring you a free little desert (baklava and icecream). I've never paid more than about 15 pounds a head - last time was with real champagne (for a birthday celebration) and it came to 50 pounds for 3 people!
Service Rating:Exceptional
Excellent - so polite, attentive - every time. Last time it was one of our party's birthday, and when the champagne was brought i wished her happy birthday (quite quietly, not a big fuss). At the end of the meal the staff brought this plate with fruit and a wine glass with carved oranges with candles in , and roses carved out of apples and sang happy birthday - they'd overheard my toast and had done that without being asked.
Ambience Rating:Exceptional
Very nice. Cosy, relaxed, quaint, family run i'm guessing. I'm reluctant to recommend this place as it might get too busy (although it already is always packed) and push up the prices!
